Community guidelines

Onano is for neighbours in Zimbabwe — local feed, marketplace, groups — and an optional 18+ Dating mode. Treat people with respect. These rules apply to every account, post, message, listing, and dating action.

Ages & modes

  • Community: 13+ with parental care for younger teens. Keep language suitable for a mixed neighbourhood feed.
  • Dating: 18+ only. You must confirm age, enable Dating, and complete selfie verification before full discovery.
  • Community and Dating stay separate — notifications, messages, and discovery never mix modes.

Respect & harassment

  • No hate speech, bullying, stalking, doxxing, or threats.
  • No sexual content without clear consent; no CSAM; no revenge porn.
  • Reject “no” the first time — Wave/Crush/Note/Whisper are invitations, not obligations.
  • Use Block and Report freely. We review reports in admin.

Location & privacy

  • Exact GPS is never shown to others. Radar distances are fuzzed on purpose.
  • Incognito / panic hide turns off discoverability instantly from Settings.
  • Do not share someone else’s private photos, documents, or home address without consent.
  • Verified badge is selfie-approved only — typing ✓ in your name does nothing.

Marketplace & services

  • Be honest about price, condition, and pickup. No bait-and-switch.
  • Prefer public meetups (shops, ranks). Never send deposits to strangers.
  • No stolen goods, regulated weapons, or illegal substances.
  • Service bookings: show up or cancel early; leave fair reviews.

Dating conduct

  • Wave = friendly hello. Crush = stronger interest. Mutual actions unlock chat.
  • Notes and Whispers appear in Messages (Dating mode). Whispers stay anonymous until you engage.
  • No catfishing — photos must be you. Fake verified claims are removed.
  • Meet in public first. Tell a friend where you are going.

Content you must not post

  • Scams, phishing, fake EcoCash / Paynow requests
  • Spam, fake engagement, bot networks
  • Impersonation of neighbours, brands, or officials
  • Malware links or credential harvesting
  • Graphic violence glorification
  • Anything illegal under Zimbabwean law

Enforcement

We may remove content, suspend accounts, or permanently ban for guideline breaches. Serious harms (threats, CSAM, fraud) may be reported to authorities. Appeals go through admin support.
