Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Onano (“we”, “us”) provides a neighbourhood community and opt-in dating service for users in Zimbabwe. Contact for privacy requests: use in-app support or the operator email on file for your deployment.

2. Data we collect

• Account: name, username, email, password hash, date of birth, home area, optional phone.
• Profile: bio, photos, interests, dating preferences, verification selfies (stored securely).
• Location: approximate coordinates when you enable radar — fuzzed before storage; we do not show exact pins to others.
• Usage: posts, messages, waves/crushes, reports, device/session basics for security.
• Payments: if you buy credits/premium, payment references via Paynow (we do not store full card numbers).

3. How we use data

To run the service (feed, radar, chat, marketplace), keep accounts safe (verification, moderation, rate limits), improve features, and communicate important account notices. We do not sell your personal data.

4. Sharing

Other users see what you publish (posts, public profile fields). Matches see chat content. Moderators may review reports and verification media. Processors (hosting, SMS/email, Paynow) only get what they need to operate.

5. Retention & your choices

You can update profile and privacy settings in-app, go incognito, disable Dating, block users, and request account deletion via settings / support. Some logs and legal records may be kept as required.

6. Security

We use industry-standard practices (hashed passwords, access control, fuzzed location). No system is perfect — report suspected breaches promptly.

7. Children

Community features require age 13+. Dating mode is strictly 18+. We do not knowingly allow under-13 accounts.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; the date above will change. Continued use after notice means you accept the updated policy.
